David Cronkwright, M.Sc.

David Cronkwright used to be a bonafide Enlighten employee until he moved away and broke Flavia-the-office-dog's heart. Now he's our go-to contractor for occasional help with our geology and geomechanics projects, that is when he has time aside from being a new dad. We will always consider him part of the Enlighten team!

David holds a B.Sc. in Petroleum Geology from the University of Calgary and recently completed his M.Sc. in Geology with a thesis titled “Integrating Sedimentology, Sequence Stratigraphy and Mineralogy to Evaluate Controls on Hydrocarbon Accumulation and Production in the Bakken Formation of Southeast Saskatchewan”. He began his geology career as a research assistant investigating practical applications of data acquired using portable X-Ray fluorescence. This research helped lay the foundation for XRF Solutions where David worked while completing his graduate studies. David has worked as a teaching assistant for several senior and graduate level petroleum geology classes, including field schools to Grande Cache Alberta that focused on the sedimentology and stratigraphy of the Cretaceous Mannville Group. He has co-authored peer reviewed publications and has lectured at many conferences and workshops.

Can't you see her tears?
